Multan: Three people were killed and 14 others injured when an LPG cylinder exploded in a rickshaw on Muzaffargarh Road near Pull Ashiqabad, according to Rescue 1122 on Sunday.
Rescue officials said the rickshaw was travelling from Nag Shah Chowk to Bahawalpur Chowk, carrying several passengers, when the cylinder suddenly exploded and triggered a fire. The flames engulfed the vehicle within moments, causing panic and leaving passengers badly burned. Rescue teams and fire units reached the scene promptly, extinguished the fire, and carried out relief operations under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Dr Hussain Mian. The affected family was reportedly travelling from Qureshi Chowk in Muzaffargarh to Multan. Police also reached the scene and launched an investigation.
