PESHAWAR: The two-day meeting of the Majlis-e-Shura of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) started here on Saturday with party chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman in the chair.
Shura members from across the country are participating in the meeting, which will continue today (Sunday) as well, said a statement issued here.
Prominent among those attending the meeting include Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi, Maulana Amjad Khan, Senator Kamran Murtaza, Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman, Maulana Abdul Wasay, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Asad Mahmood, Maulana Jamaluddin, Maulana Abdul Rasheed and others.
According to the spokesperson, the Shura will review the situation in the Middle East, particularly the implications of the ongoing US-Israel conflict on the region. The forum will also deliberate on the consequences of the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict .
