In Pakistan, petrol prices have surged to an unprecedented peak. With petrol prices now almost half the daily wage for many, the financial strain on households is acute. As the economic strain is intensifying, the people must recognise the importance of collective action to ensure fair compensation. Workers, whether in small- or large-scale industries, should unite in structured advocacy, demanding wage adjustments aligned with inflation. This effort is an urgent requirement to ensure that the burden of inflation is fairly shared and that the most vulnerable can secure a dignified livelihood.
