Reshuffle in CDA

Islamabad:An altogether new management is set to take over affairs of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) with a major reshuffle in all powerful board on Friday.

The federal government is likely to issue notification regarding appointment of new Islamabad Chief Commissioner Lt. (r) Sohail Ashraf as Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday.

However, the Ministry of Interior has issued separate notifications for induction of two new officers as board members. The government has appointed Muhammad Umair, a BS-19 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) as Member (Finance) in terms of Section 6 (1) of the CDA Ordinance, 1960 and Section 10 of Civil Servant Act, 1973.

He has also been assigned additional charge of Member (Planning) for a period of three months or till appointment of a regular incumbent, whichever is earlier. A retired officer of the Punjab Government Zaman Wattoo has been appointed as Member (Estate) on contract basis.

Member (Environment) CDA Esfandyar Baloch has been transferred and appointed as Member (Administration) with immediate effect. Baloch, a BS-19 officer of PAS, had also served as Member (Estate) in the CDA.
