PESHAWAR: Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spent Rs368.84 million on Ramazan 2026 relief, benefiting 481,562 people across the province.
A review meeting held at the AKF KP provincial head office, chaired by President Khalid Waqas, was informed that during the holy month, the foundation distributed more than 15,000 ration packages, served 29,694 people through its Iftar Dastarkhwan programme, and provided cooked meal boxes to thousands of roadside workers and travellers.
Under its Sasta Tandoor project, 28 subsidised tandoors supplied over 600,000 breads to low-income and deserving families. In addition, 16,164 kilograms of mutton worth Rs32.29 million were distributed among poor and needy families.
It was also shared that orphan care remained a key focus. Children at Aghosh Alkhidmat Homes and those registered under the Orphan Family Support Programme were taken for Eid shopping, received gifts and cash, and were served Iftar dinners across the province. Hundreds of street-connected children registered at the foundation’s Child Protection Centres also benefited from Iftar events, Eid gifts, and cash support.
Healthcare initiatives were carried out in parallel. Inpatients at Alkhidmat hospitals were provided Sehri and Iftar meals, while mobile health units offered free medical check-ups, diagnostic services, and medicines to underserved communities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Children registered at Alkhidmat Thalassemia Centres received special Eid gifts, cash, and ration packages.The foundation also provided relief to internally displaced and harsh weather-hit residents of Tirah, Khyber, including cooked meals, medical support, clean water, winter packages, and warm clothing.
More than 15,000 volunteers took part in the foundation’s Ramazan initiatives, supporting food distribution, healthcare services, orphan and street child programmes, and other relief activities across the province.
