MINGORA: A woman on Thursday accused the relative of a politician of physical violence and sought an impartial investigation into the incident to dispense justice.

According to the affected woman, a dance performer identified as Nazish alias Khapirai, she was allegedly taken to a hujra by the nephew of one of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member Provincial Assembly members, who she claimed was under the influence of drugs and had invited her for a dance party.

The woman alleged that she was later forcibly made to sit in his vehicle and taken to a government bungalow located in College Colony. The woman stated that she was subjected to violence there, allegedly beaten up while the suspect was intoxicated, leaving her severely injured and bleeding.

She alleged that the suspect later dropped her near a luxury hotel. According to her account, despite the presence of a police mobile at the scene, the suspect attempted to run her over with his vehicle before fleeing. The woman said she was later shifted to a hospital, where, she alleged, treatment was delayed for three hours.

She accused the police of initially hesitating to register her complaint and later altering the report, describing the incident as a traffic accident instead of assault. The woman said that due to severe pain and her cries for help, people gathered at the scene, after which she was provided medical assistance.
