LAHORE: The National Women’s T20 Tournament delivered another day of thrilling cricket as Conquerors and Invincibles registered impressive victories in Lahore.

At the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground, Conquerors posted 177/9 in 20 overs after opting to bat first. Their innings was rescued by captain Fatima Sana, who walked in at 80/5 and produced a match-defining knock. She struck an unbeaten 67 off 36 balls, laced with five fours and five sixes, marking her second successive half-century of the tournament. Fatima built crucial partnerships — 43 runs with Gull Rukh (19 off 11) and 38 runs with Anosha Nasir (10 off 10) — to lift her side from a precarious position. For Strikers, Rabia Rani impressed with four wickets, while Umm-e-Hani claimed two for 31.

In reply, Strikers were restricted to 159/9, falling short by 18 runs despite a valiant effort from Aliya Riaz, who smashed 52 off 29 balls with two fours and four sixes. Conquerors’ bowlers held their nerve, with Anosha Nasir starring by taking 3/19.

At Bagh-e-Jinnah, Invincibles showcased their bowling strength, dismissing Stars for just 64 in 13.4 overs. The damage was done by Momina Riasat and Saima Malik, who both claimed four wickets apiece, dismantling the Stars’ batting lineup. Chasing a modest target, Invincibles cruised to victory in 7.2 overs, finishing at 65/2. Iram Javed remained unbeaten on 30, while Maham Anees contributed 23 not out, sealing an emphatic eight-wicket win.

The tournament continues on Friday (today) with two key clashes: Invincibles vs Conquerors at Bagh-e-Jinnah and Strikers vs Challengers at Ghani Glass Cricket Ground. Both matches will begin at 10:00 AM, promising another exciting day of women’s cricket.
