Muggers snatch Rs7 million from trader in Kharadar

A trader was deprived of Rs7 million after he withdrew it from a bank in Kharadar on Wednesday. Sindh police chief Javed Alam Odho has sought a report from the South Zone police chief over the incident.

The District City SSP’s spokesperson said thread trader Muhammad Furqan had withdrawn Rs7 million from a bank and was on his way to deposit it to another bank. The spokesperson said that as soon as Furqan came out of the bank with the money in a shopping bag, three unidentified men on two motorbikes snatched the bag from him and sped away.

An investigation was launched as soon as the incident was reported, with police examining the incident from various angles and reviewing the CCTV camera footage. Taking notice of the mugging committed near the Atiq Cloth Market, IGP Odho sought a report from the South Zone DIG. He ordered investigating every aspect of the incident, and arresting the suspects with the help of modern technology as soon as possible. District City SSP Ali Hassan said police are making efforts and using all resources to arrest the suspects. They will be arrested soon, he added.
