ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday said they wanted solution to political problems through political means but there were some who did not want political solutions.
Talking to the media in Rawalpindi at a police check-post near Adiala jail, he maintained that PTI founder Imran Khan has given the authority of dialogue or otherwise to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. He noted that there will be a lengthy meeting of the parliamentary party on Wednesday to discuss key issues.
He contended that Bushra Bibi’s eye problem has come to the fore, but her family was not being allowed to meet her. Her meetings have been stopped for the last four weeks. “We do not want tension and anarchy in the country,” he emphasised. The PTI chairman pointed out that even after 14 months, a decision could not be taken on the suspension of sentences of the party founder; the court has said that now decisions will be made on the central appeals. He clarified that the children of the jailed leader have not spoken against Pakistan. On the question of dialogue, he noted that at present, they are not holding talks with anyone, reiterating that this is the discretion of Achakzai. Meanwhile, Barrister Gohar, in a statement, said his WhatsApp number was hacked at around 11am on Tuesday and his WhatsApp account was also deleted after being hacked. He said hackers are making requests for money and stressed that all financial requests should be ignored.
