ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has granted approval for the continuation of gas supply to fertiliser manufacturing plants in order to maintain stability in urea prices in the domestic market.

The ECC meeting was held at the Finance Division under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.

During the meeting, the committee approved a summary submitted by the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control for the provision of a Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) amounting to Rs2,192.8 million for the Nadra-TDP-ERP/KP-CCSDP project. The allocated funds will facilitate the continuation of project operations under the World Bank-financed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Citizen-Centered Service Delivery Project.

The ECC also approved another summary from the same ministry for the provision of a TSG worth Rs5 billion in favour of the Directorate General Immigration and Passports. The amount will be used for the settlement of outstanding liabilities related to the printing of passport booklets, ensuring the uninterrupted provision of passport services to the public.
