The Sindh Education Department took notice of alleged tampering with matric and intermediate exam results at the Mirpurkhas Board and dismissed from service the controller of examinations.

Officials said on Tuesday the government had dismissed Controller of Examinations Anwar Aleem Khanzada from service over manipulation of matric and intermediate exam results and the issue of fake certificates at the Mirpurkhas Education Board.

Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo said an inquiry report prepared in February 2026 proved large-scale tampering with SSC and HSC exam results.

According to the minister, the controller of examination neither responded to the show-cause notice nor appeared for a personal hearing, after which his dismissal was carried out under E&D rules.

He said that in Mirpurkhas, 1,068 matric and 1,471 intermediate mark sheets and certificates from 2021 to 2025 have been cancelled. He added that investigations are also ongoing against other officers and agents involved in this matter.
