LAHORE:Punjab Health Department has taken a strict action against five doctors of Lady Willingdon Hospital for criminal negligence and violation of SOPs.
Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, in continuation of previous orders (dated 27-03-2026 and 28-03-2026) and acting under clause 13.2 of the Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) for Postgraduate Residency (PGR)/Level-III Programmes, has terminated the postgraduate training of five PGRs with immediate effect.
Postgraduate training of Dr Tayyaba Fatima Toor FCPS (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Dr Maham Amin MS (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Dr Zainab Tahir FCPS (Obstetrics and Gynaecology), Dr Ayesha Afzal FCPS (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and Dr Amna Rashid FCPS (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) has been terminated.
The Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education has also sent orders to the president of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, Pakistan and the president of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan and other authorities for necessary action.Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said strict action will be taken against violation of discipline in hospitals so that uninterrupted treatment of patients can be ensured.
