LAHORE : Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is ranked the top Pakistani university in a range of subject areas in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
According to a press release, the university is among the few Pakistani universities placed in the 101–150 global band in a subject area, marking a significant milestone for higher education in Pakistan.
The rankings also highlight LUMS’ strength across a range of disciplines, including Business and Management, Accounting and Finance, and Social Sciences, where it is the highest-ranked Pakistani institution, and Economics, where it shares the top rank.
More than 35 universities from Pakistan are represented in this year’s QS subject rankings. This growing presence reflects progress in the higher education sector, while also underscoring the need for continued investment in quality, access, and research capacity.
