Pahlwans from Sindh compete in Pakistan-Japan Cultural Festival

SUKKUR: Pahlwans from Sindh participated in Pakistan-Japan Cultural Festival held in Osaka.

The International Pakistan Osaka Cultural Festival, organized by the Pakistan Japan Association Kansai, began in Osaka, Japan, with a grand inauguration ceremony.

Pakistani Ambassador Abdul Hameed and Kansai Mayor opened the festival.

The festival showcased a unique blend of cultures, with competitions in Sindh’s traditional Mullah game and Japan’s sumo wrestling. The competition consisted of four rounds. In the first round, a sumo competition was presented, in the second round, a mullah competition was held, which was won by Siddique Bugti. In the third round, a competition was held between Sumo and Mullah wrestlers in sumo style, which was won by a Sumo wrestler, while the fourth round was held in mullah style, in which Siddique Bugti was successful.
