ISLAMABAD: Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the World Tent Pegging Federation during a session held in Muscat,

His election to the coveted position grants Pakistan an important role in international decision-making. It is noteworthy that 45 countries are currently part of the International Tent Pegging Federation (ITPF).

Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali also served as President of the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan from 2022 to 2026. Under his leadership, Pakistan achieved historic successes in the sport of tent pegging, securing a total of 3 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals at different events. During his relatively short four-year tenure, Pakistan also demonstrated its strength at the global level. In the 2023 World Cup, Pakistan defeated India, earning the distinction of becoming the second-best team in the world.

Furthermore, under his leadership, Pakistan hosted a major international event for the first time, featuring participation from nine countries, which helped project a positive image of the country globally. He also ensured the successful hosting of the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan and played a key role in forming the country’s first-ever women’s team. In addition, the introduction of horseback archery competitions was made possible through his efforts, further expanding the scope of equestrian sports in the country.
