LAHORE: The Punjab government on Thursday extended the province-wide ban on outdoor drone flying for a further 30 days, citing security concerns and the need to safeguard public peace and critical installations.

According to an order issued by the Home Department on March 26, 2026, the restrictions originally imposed on February 25 will remain in force under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898. The directive noted that the continuation of the ban was deemed necessary “in the larger interest of public safety, security, peace and tranquility” and to prevent any potential threats or untoward incidents.
