LAHORE:The next National Immunisation Days (NIDs) campaign will start from April 13 to eradicate polio virus under the banner of Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
In this regard, the EOC Coordinator Adeel Tasawur, on Thursday, chaired a series of divisional meetings to complete a comprehensive review of polio eradication activities across Punjab. Reiterating the government’s commitment to eradicating polio, the EOC coordinator underscored the importance of ensuring that every child under five years of age is vaccinated during the upcoming campaign.
A total of nine virtual divisional review meetings were held, bringing together district health authorities to assess performance, identify gaps, and outline priority actions ahead of the upcoming NIDs campaign. During the meetings, district-wise shortcomings were discussed in detail. The EOC coordinator directed all districts to accelerate preparations for the forthcoming campaign by addressing identified gaps and strengthening field-level implementation. He emphasised that weak Union Councils have already been identified and instructed districts to develop targeted improvement plans based on these findings to ensure no child is missed.
