LAHORE:Two individuals were injured in a firing incident on the premises of sessions court on Wednesday.
According to details, the accused Latif opened fire outside a courtroom where the two men had come for a hearing before Additional Sessions Judge Saifullah. The injured were identified as Faizan and Usman.
Security personnel arrested the accused Nadeem along with a revolver. The injured were shifted to hospital. Police stated that investigations are underway into how the weapon was taken on the courtpremises despite strict security.
Abducted girl recovered; suspect arrested
Investigation Police Gawalmandi recovered an 18-yearold mentally challenged girl who had been abducted from a hospital and arrested the main suspect.
Police formed a special team on the directions of DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza. During investigation, it was revealed that the suspect took the girl to Arifwala. Police recovered the girl safely and arrested the accused.
Woman injured in cross-fire
A 32-yearold woman, Samira, was seriously injured after being hit during firing between two groups in the Kahna area. Police arrested five suspects identified as Sajid, Tariq, Ashfaq, Abu Bakar and Ismail and registered a case.
Minor assault case; suspect held
Manawan Police arrested a suspect identified as Jameel for assaulting an 11-yearold boy. According to the spokesperson, the child was lured to the suspect’s house and subjected to assault. Police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s father and handed the suspect to the investigation wing.
Seven gamblers arrested
Shahdara Town Police arrested seven gamblers for betting with playing cards.Police recovered playing cards, mobile phones, and Rs17,000 stake money from the suspects, including Azhar, Iftikhar, Asif, Imdad, and Malik Roomi, and registered a case.
