LAHORE : Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab, Dr Ehsan Bhutta while highlighting the significance of 23rd March (Pakistan Day), stated that this historic day reminds us of unity, faith, discipline, and the collective struggle of our forefathers for an independent homeland.
He expressed these views while addressing a flag-hoisting ceremony at the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hijveri (Data Ganj Bakhsh RA). Administrator Muhammad Ali Khan, Khateeb Maulana Riaz Sialavi, management of Data Darbar and large number of people were present at this occasion.
Secretary emphasised that the spirit of the Pakistan Resolution should continue to guide us in fulfilling our professional and national responsibilities. He stated that following the teachings of Sufia Karam is essential to promote love, peace, tolerance, and humanity in society. He added that their teachings foster brotherhood and harmony, which are vital for national cohesion and sustainable development. He urged the officers and staff to continue serving devotees with sincerity and dedication, ensuring the provision of the best possible facilities at the shrine. He also stressed the importance of maintaining discipline, improving service delivery, and upholding the true values of Islam and Sufism. Dr Ehsan Bhutta directed that comprehensive arrangements must be ensured at the shrine, including cleanliness, security, and facilitation of visitors. He reiterated that no negligence in public service will be tolerated. Highlighting the role of the Auqaf Department, he said that the shrine serves as a centre of spiritual enlightenment and social harmony, and it is our collective responsibility to preserve its sanctity while enhancing facilities in line with modern requirements.
