LAHORE:Ameer-ud-Din Medical College Principal, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal, distributed Eid gifts among children suffering from thalassemia and various blood disorders undergoing treatment at Lahore General Hospital (LGH),here on Wednesday. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Farooq Afzal emphasised that ensuring their health and happiness was a collective responsibility.
He added that along with providing quality medical care, the initiative aimed to include these children in Eid celebrations so they do not feel isolated. Prof M Shahid and MS Prof Dr Faryad Hussain highlighted that, under the CM’s directives, the best possible medical facilities were being provided to children suffering from thalassemia and blood disorders by using all available resources.
Prof Farooq said that special care, timely provision of blood and modern medical facilities were being ensured for thalassemia patients at LGH to safeguard their lives. During the event, Eid gifts were distributed among the children. The ceremony was attended by MS Prof Dr Faryad Hussain, Prof Muhammad Shahid, Prof Hassan Suleman Malik, Dr Abdul Aziz, along with doctors, nursing staff and parents.
