RAWALPINDI: Security forces have released video footage of airstrikes carried out in Afghanistan under Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, showing the strikes targeted and successfully destroyed militant hideouts and support facilities used by the Afghan Taliban-linked groups in Kandahar.
According to security sources, Pakistan’s forces carried out the airstrikes on the intervening night of March 14-15, targeting Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khwarij terrorist hideouts as well as certain military installations. The strikes, the security sources said, effectively destroyed technical support infrastructure and equipment storage facilities in Kandahar. This infrastructure and equipment storage were being used by Afghan Taliban elements and terrorists. The Taliban used this underground facility as a technical equipment storage. The operations under Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq will continue until the stated objectives are achieved, the sources added.
