A Hindu girl who had been missing for the last three days from Karachi’s Saddar Cantonment area was found dead in Gharo. Police said the victim’s fiancé was involved in the crime and has been arrested.
According to police, the body of an unidentified girl was found on the night of March 11 on a hill near the filter plant in Gharo. Later, Prem Chand Harijan, a resident of Karachi Saddar, identified the body as that of his 22-year-old daughter Chetna.
The victim, a resident of Cantt Board Saddar, had been missing for three days. Her postmortem was conducted at the Rural Health Centre Gharo. A case (No. 39/2026) was registered at the Dhabeji police station under sections 302, 311 and 34 on the complaint of the girl’s maternal uncle, Ravi Kumar Harijan.
