ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek Tahaffuz Aiyeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Friday discussed a strategy to deal with the government’s ‘repeated bids to push the opposition to the wall and denial of fundamental rights’ to the jailed PTI founder Imran Khan.

It was also decided to hold further consultations to bring together all political forces in this regard. More deliberations will be held on this matter in the coming days. “The way the government is pushing the opposition against the wall and depriving the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan of his fundamental rights, will be resisted,” said the TTAP Spokesman Akhunzada Hussain, who also was part of the delegation, which called on the KP chief minister. Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and the opposition alliance’s vice-chairman Allama Raja Nasir Abbas led the delegation that visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House here on the invitation of Sohail Afridi.

Allama Nasir Abbas explained that the meeting discussed the current political and constitutional situation of the country in detail and expressed serious concern over the lack of medical facilities provided to Imran Khan and the alleged systematic injustice being meted out to him. Moreover, the regional and international situation, especially Pakistan’s relations with Afghanistan and Iran, were discussed.
