ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said here Thursday a visit by the prime minister or deputy prime minister to Tehran is not immediately on the cards but it cannot be ruled out at a later stage.
To a query by Jang, he said Pakistan’s efforts for return of peace to the region would continue at the highest level.
The sources pointed out that a high echelon meeting would take place today (Friday) here despite it will be close holiday in the light of new schedule of the office working, where Pakistan’s shuttle diplomacy for peace would be discussed and further course of action would be formulated. Top security officials would also be part of the discussions.
Diplomatic sources told this correspondent late Thursday evening that the Prime Minister has returned from Saudi Arabia after meeting the Saudi crown prince.
