LAHORE:Expressing strong displeasure over the complaints of illegal constructions and china cutting, DG LDA has directed the Town Planning wing to accelerate an indiscriminate action against the violators.
The DG directed strict implementation of building bylaws and warned that strict action will be taken against the field formations of TP Wing in case of complaints of illegal constructions. Talking to The News, DG Tahir Farooq said he will ensure checking of illegal buildings and localities where illegal construction was going on and was pointed out by The News in a recent story. He said he will also visit those areas personally.
Earlier, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the on the performance of LDA Revenue Generation and Town Planning Wing. The meeting reviewed the revenue generation targets and the performance of EBiz portal.
In the meeting, Tahir Farooq reviewed the applications received on the EBiz portal on a case-wise basis. He directed for ensuring processing on the EBiz portal within the stipulated timeline in all cases and to regularly review the performance of the EBiz portal.
In the meeting, director finance gave a briefing on the achievement of revenue generation targets. The DG directed for accelerating recovery campaign in the last quarter of the financial year, ensuring recovery of illegal penalties and recovery from four new commercial roads.In the meeting, the Director of Auction gave a briefing about the schedule of the upcoming auction.
