At the start of the current year, there was an artificial shortage of a popular motorcycle model. The official price of this bike is Rs159,900. However, dealers in Punjab are demanding Rs170,000 under the pretext of booking and delayed supply. Exploiting people in this way right before Eid, when ordinary citizens try to arrange transport for their families and work, is highly unfair.
The relevant authorities should take notice of this cruelty, ensure the availability of motorcycles at the official price, and take strict action against dealers who create an artificial shortage for personal gain.
