Turbat, Balochistan faces a severe educational crisis. Many students who complete intermediate discontinue their studies. Some cannot afford high education fees, while others feel burdened by continued studies and start small businesses to support their families. Additionally, certain parents restrict their children, especially daughters, from attending co-educational institutions. Other contributing factors include the lack of nearby colleges and universities, poor infrastructure, insufficient qualified teachers and limited access to career guidance or scholarship opportunities. Students often face long travel distances, unsafe transportation and security concerns, which further discourage higher education. Social pressures, traditional norms and early marriage also force many students, particularly girls, to abandon their studies.

As a result, education is undervalued, talent remains untapped and many young people are deprived of opportunities to develop skills for employment or entrepreneurship. This situation hampers the economic growth and social development of Turbat and Balochistan, leaving the province unable to fully benefit from its young potential. Immediate intervention is needed to make education accessible, affordable and culturally acceptable, ensuring a brighter future for the younger generation.
