QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan’s School Education Department has announced the temporary closure of all public and private educational institutions across the province.
According to an official notification issued in this regard, the decision was taken in view of the prevailing regional situation and to ensure administrative preparedness to deal with any emergency circumstances. The notification states that all educational institutions across Balochistan will remain closed from March 9, 2026, to March 23, 2026, with immediate effect. The government said the step has been taken to facilitate the public while considering potential issues related to transportation and movement.
However, the Education Department clarified that the ongoing admission campaign, the digital census of schools, and any examinations scheduled as per the timetable will continue. Relevant officers and staff have been directed to ensure that these activities continue effectively in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Education Department.
