DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two people, including an FC man, were martyred after suspected militants opened fire in the main bazaar of Daraban tehsil in Dera Ismail Khan, police said on Monday.
It was learnt that the incident occurred near a bank building in the main Daraban Bazaar within the limits of Daraban Police Station.The terrorists opened fire on FC official identified as Tanveer Ahmad, a resident of Mansehra, who was deployed at the FC fort in the area. As a result, he lost his life. A passerby, identified as 55-year-old Juma Khan, son of Rahim Khan, of the Naser tribe and a resident of Musazai, was also caught in the firing and sustained injuries. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.Police and security forces personnel reached the site after the incident and launched a search operation in the area to trace the attackers.
