LAHORE: Muhammad Tariq Qureshi has officially assumed charge as the new Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab at the Sports Board Punjab (SBP) on Friday.
Upon his arrival at the National Hockey Stadium, senior sports officers welcomed him with a bouquet. Qureshi also visited the Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall to review facilities. He was accompanied by Director Admin Abid Shaukat and Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum during the visit.
Speaking after taking charge, Qureshi pledged to take every possible measure for the growth of sports culture in Punjab, working under the leadership of Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar. He emphasized the province’s vast sporting potential and stressed the importance of regular competitions to identify fresh talent.
