ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, Wednesday, said that they had managed to transfer nine Pakistani sailors from their ship to Bandar Abbas who would be sent to Pakistan on Thursday (today).

On his X handle, the ambassador posted that six of those sailors decided to stay on the ship on their own volition.

“I spoke to some of them on phone today to enquire about their well-being.

We are sending them to Pakistan today. I am immensely grateful to those people, and particularly Counsellor Khalid Tashfeen and Shahid Kashmiri, who helped us in their evacuation to Pakistan amidst significant challenges,” he further posted.
