ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated 3.6 tonnes of high quality dates to Pakistan as part of its humanitarian outreach during the holy month of Ramazan.
The UAE mission in Islamabad said on Wednesday that the UAE Ambassador Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi donated dates as humanitarian assistance for needy communities in Balochistan. The dates were formally handed over to Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce, who will oversee their distribution among deserving communities across the province.
As part of the ongoing initiative, the humanitarian aid was distributed among needy families in Lasbela through the Jam Muhammad Foundation. The gesture highlights the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE and reflects its continued commitment to supporting vulnerable communities, particularly during the sacred month of Ramazan.
Local residents warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of the UAE for their generosity and humanitarian support.
