ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday sought arguments after the Higher Education Commission (HEC) submitted its response to a petition regarding the promotion of teachers of various universities.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case.

During the hearing, the HEC presented a policy report on the promotion of BPS teachers in the court.

After the HEC report, the court sought arguments from the petitioner’s lawyer on the next hearing.

During the hearing, the court expressed its displeasure over the video recording by petitioner with a mobile phone and the court staff took the mobile phone from the person concerned and took it into their possession.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani asked who he was and what he was doing, to which the citizen who was recording the video said that he was a teacher.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that he needed to be more careful.

“We do not allow video recording in the court. The result of live streaming of cases has been very negative. There is a different atmosphere in TV and films,” he said.

The petitioner said I apologize, there was a mistake.

“ The petitioner’s lawyer said, “I also apologize on his behalf.”
