Martyred soldier laid to rest

ALPURI: Frontier Corps (FC) soldier Noorullah was laid to rest with full state honours in his native area in Puran tehsil of the remote Shangla district here on Wednesday. The funeral prayer was led by Maulana Siraj. A large number of local people attended the funeral to pay tribute to the martyred soldier and express solidarity with his family.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute to the coffin.Civil and police officials including DSP Alpuri Bashir Khan, DSP Circle Puran Fazal Elahi Khan, SHO Police Station Aloch Khurshid Khan, and Tehsil Chairman Puran Abdul Maula, along with other local elders attended the funeral.

After the funeral prayer, the body was buried with full state honours.A Pakistan Army contingent presented a final salute at the grave, while officials and participants laid floral wreaths and offered collective prayers.Foolproof security arrangements were made for the funeral.
