LAHORE:Dry weather was witnessed in the City here on Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.The average AQI of the City was 144, which fell in the category of unhealthy for sensitive groups while the PM2.5 concentration was 10.6 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value.
Met officials said that continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. They predicted that mainly dry weather was expected in most parts of the country while cold in the hilly areas during the morning/night hours. Partly cloudy weather was likely in the northern areas during evening/night. Day temperatures in the plain areas were expected to remain above normal.Monday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Leh where mercury dropped to -08°C while in Lahore it was 18°C.
