KARACHI: Gold prices fell by Rs700 per tola on Thursday in the local market following a decline in the international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs540,562 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs600, bringing it down to Rs463,444.
In the international market, gold rates fell by $7, settling at $5,178 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates. Silver prices decreased by Rs350 to Rs9,204 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also dropped by Rs301 to Rs7,890.
