ISLAMABAD: In a move reflecting a fundamental shift in civil service training philosophy, the Civil Services Academy (CSA) has deputed 20 probationary officers of the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP) to the Pakistan Governance Forum 2026, as part of its transition towards reform-oriented training model aligned with international best practices.

The 54th CTP Foundation Course commenced a month ago through online mode, with probationary officers scheduled to formally report to the Academy for on-campus training from March 27, 2026. The deputation to the national forum forms an integral component of the Academy’s broader institutional transformation aimed at integrating academic instruction with real time governance exposure.

Participation in the Pakistan Governance Forum provided probationary officers with first-hand exposure to fiscal federalism, digital transformation, climate resilience, energy sector reforms, export competitiveness and public sector management. By facilitating the participation of probationary officers in a high-level national policy platform, the Academy aims to cultivate reform oriented leadership, strategic policy insight and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
