RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought the registration of a case against the Adiala Jail’s former superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum for allegedly denying timely medical care to the party’s founder chairman and former prime minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi.
According to the sources, Uzma Khan handed an application over to SHO Saddar Barooni Police Station Raja Ejaz Azeem outside the Adiala Jail. The application alleges that the former jail superintendent violated human rights by failing to ensure timely provision of medical care to the incarcerated PTI founder. The complaint further states that the jail administration did not fulfill the basic human and legal obligations and showed negligence in providing necessary medical assistance to the prisoner.
