LAHORE:Wasa Lahore and Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has signed an MoU for the preservation of historic Steam Pump House at Badami Bagh.
Wasa Lahore MD Ghufran Ahmed and Walled City Authority DG Najam Al-Saqib signed the MoU for the preservation, restoration and reuse of the historic Steam Pump House here on Monday. This historic pump building was not only an important part of the British era water system but was also linked to the ancient water supply system of Lahore’s Walled City. The architectural and structural restoration of the historic pump house will be carried out, said DG Walled City Authority Najam Al-Saqib. He added the historical and functional relationship of the building and the Pani Wala Talab will be preserved.
