The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has taken notice of an alleged age discrepancy involving a senior faculty member, and declared her retired retrospectively.
Sources said the age of Professor Nasreen Naz (BPS-21), associated with the Institute of Radiology at the Dow International Medical University, appears lower on her national identity card than on her academic credentials.
The discrepancy came to the administration’s attention after a delay, prompting a discreet verification of her academic documents. The verification revealed that the professor had reached superannuation three years earlier but continued in service.
Consequently, she has been declared retired effective July 18, 2023, with a formal notification issued on February 18, 2026. Sources added that salaries drawn during the period beyond her effective retirement date would be adjusted against her pension.
