CHARSADDA: The police in the Tangi Tehsil of Charsadda have arrested a religious teacher for allegedly filming the sexual assault of a 14-year old student to blackmail him.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the incident occurred some five days ago at a seminary in the Station Killay in Tangi tehsil.The victim said that on February 17, 2026, he was summoned to a room by Qari Bilal after classes. Once inside, the door was locked by a second teacher, identified as Qari Ajmal.
The student alleged that he was subjected to sexual assault while the second accused filmed the act and took photographs. The suspects reportedly threatened to leak the explicit content on social media if the victim informed anyone. The matter came to light after the footage was leaked from the suspects’ mobile phones and reached a relative of the victim living abroad.
Following this, the parents approached the Tangi Police Station to seek justice for their son.Police officials confirmed that a case had been registered under sections 376 (punishment for rape), 377 (unnatural offences), 292 (dissemination of obscene material) and 109 (abetment) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), alongside Section 53 of the Child Protection and Welfare Act 2010.
