Islamabad: A Russian delegation led by Director of the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri Gorlach, Deputy Director of the Second Asian Department Boris Burmistrov and Ambassador Albert P. Khorev visited the National Disaster Management Authority headquarters here and met NDMA chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik.
The delegation was shown the NDMA's innovative solutions for forecasting and providing early warnings of natural disasters. Both parties expressed their desire to further develop their relationship and exchange information and experience in emergency preparedness and response. Lieutenant General Malik expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for its humanitarian assistance to Pakistan following the 2005 earthquake and 2022 floods.
