Islamabad: NUST Placement Office (NPO) organised its flagship career fair, NUST Career Connect 2026 (NCC ’26), at the NUST main campus.

The event brought together graduating students and leading employers from across diverse fields, providing a dynamic platform for networking, career exploration and recruitment. NUST Pro-Rector Research, Innovation & Commercialisation (RIC), Dr Rizwan Riaz, inaugurated the career fair.

Emphasising the importance of strong academia-industry collaboration in developing future-ready graduates, he said that initiatives like NCC’26 are instrumental in providing students with practical exposure and enabling a smooth transition from academia to the professional world. NCC witnessed participation from over 130 multi-sector organizations, representing a diverse range of industries. Students from across NUST actively engaged with recruiters, with more than 4,000 students attending the event.

Flagship initiatives like NCC serve as a key catalyst in strengthening employer engagement and contributing to NUST’s prestigious global ranking of #98 in Employer Reputation. Serving as a vital networking platform, NCC reaffirmed NUST’s commitment to strengthening industry engagement and preparing graduates for impactful careers.
