LAHORE:Medical experts have advised citizens to prioritise their health alongside spiritual devotion during the holy month of Ramazan. The medical experts from Lahore General Hospital, including Dr M Maqsood, Dr Laila Shafiq, Dr Faiza Khalid and Dr Anam Batool highlighted that patients with chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease or hypertension must consult their doctors to adjust medication and insulin schedules before fasting.

The experts urged the public to avoid fried, oily foods and sugary drinks like cold drinks etc during Iftar, recommending a switch to fruits, vegetables and fiber-rich meals instead. Furthermore, they highlighted that pregnant women should prioritise their well-being, parents should ensure children fast only according to their physical capacity and everyone should maintain adequate hydration to ensure a healthy and safe Ramazan experience.
