LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Punjab, Azma Bokhari, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly-elected office-bearers of the Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ). She conveyed her best wishes to the newly-elected President Naeem Hanif, Secretary Qamar Bhatti, and the entire body.
Azma Bokhari stated that the PUJ has a long and commendable history of struggle for press freedom and the protection of journalists’ rights. She acknowledged that PUJ has consistently played a frontline role in addressing the issues faced by the journalist community and has effectively represented journalists during challenging times.The minister reaffirmed the Punjab government’s commitment to ensuring the protection, welfare, and resolution of issues concerning journalists.
