LGH to continue uninterrupted services during Eid holidays

LAHORE:Amir-ud-Din Medical College (AMC) and Lahore General Hospital (LGH), Principal Prof Dr Farooq Afzal has directed all clinical and administrative doctors, the chief pharmacist, in-charge blood bank, nursing superintendent and other health professionals to ensure the provision of timely and uninterrupted medical facilities to the patients during the official Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

In a meeting, Prof Farooq Afzal strictly instructed staff not to leave their stations without prior authorisation from the competent authority and to keep their mobile phones active at all times to ensure immediate coordination during any emergency.

He clarified to the MS and Nursing Superintendent that no employee will be granted additional leave beyond the official government holidays. He stated that while theOPD will remain closed, the staff will be re-deputed to the Emergency and other critical wards as per requirement to maintain seamless patient care. The administration has finalised all arrangements to provide medical services during the festive period.
