LAHORE:Two sisters were allegedly gang-raped after being lured under the guise of a marriage proposal in the South Cantonment area.
According to details, the main suspect, Zia, invited them to his home to discuss a marriage proposal. He then tricked them into accompanying him to a hotel, where, with the alleged complicityof the hotel owner and manager, three individuals assaulted the sisters. The accused also recorded a video of the ordeal.
South Cantonment police registered a case on the victims' complaint. The hotel owner, Imranhas been named in the FIR for facilitating the crime. Authorities stated that raids are underway to apprehend the prime accused—Zia, Khurram, and Bilal.
Two drug dealers arrested
Lorry Adda police arrested two suspected drug peddlers and recovered a large quantity of narcotics worth millions of rupees during a crackdown against drug trafficking.According to a police spokesperson, the operation was carried out under the supervision of SP City as part of an ongoing campaign against narcotics dealers.
During routine checking, police apprehended a suspect identified as Haider and recovered 1,500 gram hashish from his possession. In a separate action, another suspect, Allah Rakha, was arrested after officers found 12kg dried cannabis concealed inside a flour sack. Police said cases were registered against both accused.
