Karachi Traffic DIG Mazhar Sheikh has issued special instructions for maintaining smooth traffic flow across the city and providing commuters with the best travel facilities.
All SSPs, DSPs, SOs and officers and personnel deployed on the roads have been directed to ensure effective traffic management on major thoroughfares and maintain uninterrupted movement. Additional personnel are to be deployed to minimise public inconvenience.
Citizens would be informed about alternative routes in real time through social media, FM radio, and other media channels, he said as he directed the police officers and personnel to perform their duties with professional competence, patience, and courtesy.
