NANKANA SAHIB: The district police are working round-the-clock to realise the vision of a safe Punjab as envisioned by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
These remarks were made by District Police Officer Fraz Ahmed during a ceremony held at the DPO Office for handing over valuables recovered from thieves to their owners. Using the modern tracing system of the police, 70 stolen, snatched, and lost mobile phones, along with cash worth Rs 1.9 million, were recovered. DPO Fraz Ahmed and SP Investigation Hina Naik Bakht handed over the recovered mobile phones and cash to their rightful owners. Complainants and original owners of mobile phones involved in robbery and theft, as well as those traced through the e-Gadget application, were invited to attend the ceremony. Upon receiving their recovered belongings, the citizens expressed gratitude to Nankana police. The recipients included residents of Nankana City, Shahkot, and Sangla Hill. The DPO congratulated the complainants on the recovery of their mobile phones and cash. He said a special police team at the DPO Office had been assigned the task of tracing the devices and, through modern technology and professional expertise, successfully recovered them.
The DPO also announced commendation certificates for the police team, particularly appreciating the efforts of the City Shahkot Police Station team.
He added that returning citizens’ belongings to their rightful owners was a source of great satisfaction.
SHO City Shahkot Police Station Asif Aulakh, IT Incharge Inspector Usman, and other officials were also present at the ceremony.
