KARACHI: Gold prices rose by Rs2,300 per tola in the local market on Wednesday, tracking gains in the international bullion market.According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-carat gold increased to Rs528,562 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold went up by Rs1,972 to Rs453,156.In the international market, gold prices gained $23 to reach $5,058 per ounce.Bullion dealers said gold prices in Pakistan are typically adjusted with a premium of around $20 per ounce over international rates, reflecting exchange rate movements, import costs and domestic market conditions.Silver prices also edged higher. Rates increased by Rs120 to Rs8,735 per tola, while the price of 10-gram silver rose by Rs103 to Rs7,488.
